Viola 'Carneval F1 Beacon Rose'

Viola x Wittrockiana

Value Plug Plants x 10 (More info)

Viola 'F1 Beacon Rose'

Value Plug Plant x 10

'Beacon Rose' is a compact plant that typically grows to be about 6 to 8 inches tall and 8 to 10 inches wide. It produces large, ruffled flowers with rose-pink petals and a darker blotch or "face" on the lower petals. The flowers bloom in early spring and can continue blooming through the summer and into the autumn in cooler climates.
This variety prefers full to partial sun and well-draining soil. It is relatively easy to grow and maintain, and it can be propagated by seed or division. It is commonly used in containers, borders, and mass plantings.

What am I Buying?

Plug plants are small, young plants grown in cell trays. Even the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are still small plants from cell trays and not established plants. Plug plants can be great value compared to buying more established plants however they may need some extra care to get them started.
We also offer our range of plants in larger sizes which gives the option to choose premium plants at a more advanced stage over the cost saving of buying plug plants. Please visit our shop for our full list of plants currently in stock.

Caring for Plug Plants

We recommend starting plug plants in a small pot and not planting directly into open ground or large pots/planters. You will want a plant pot roughly the size of a tea mug, commonly referred to as 7cm or 9cm pots. Ensure the pot has plenty of holes underneath and preferably over two tiers for even better drainage.

Reduced Plastics

Please note: In order to lessen our environmental impact, all of our plants will be removed from their plastic cell trays or pots before sending. Ensure you are ready to pot your plants when they arrive.
