Hanging Mint 'Indian Mint'

Satureja douglasii

Medium Plug Plants x 4 (More info)

Hanging Mint 'Indian Mint’

Medium Plug Plants x 4

Not actually a true mint, ‘Indian Mint’ is an unusual variety which grows beautiful trailing lengths of small, green, mint-scented leaves, ideal for making into herbal tea. The highly aromatic foliage is graced with delicate white flowers in summer, making it perfect ground cover in beds. Cut back in Autumn and keep warm and dry throughout the winter.

Please note herbaceous plants naturally die-back during the colder months. We always ensure plants have at least some growth during this time, however when buying during October through to March, the growth may be minimal and there may be blemishes from winter cold.

What am I Buying?

Plug plants are small, young plants grown in cell trays. Even the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are still small plants from cell trays and not established plants. Plug plants can be great value compared to buying more established plants however they may need some extra care to get them started.
We also offer our range of plants in larger sizes which gives the option to choose premium plants at a more advanced stage over the cost saving of buying plug plants. Please visit our shop for our full list of plants currently in stock.

Caring for Plug Plants

We recommend starting plug plants in a small pot and not planting directly into open ground or large pots/planters. You will want a plant pot roughly the size of a tea mug, commonly referred to as 7cm or 9cm pots. Ensure the pot has plenty of holes underneath and preferably over two tiers for even better drainage.

Reduced Plastics

Please note: In order to lessen our environmental impact, all of our plants will be removed from their plastic cell trays or pots before sending. Ensure you are ready to pot your plants when they arrive.
