'Apeldoorn' tulips are known for their classic tulip shape with large, vibrant, and cup-shaped flowers. The petals are a brilliant red color with a striking black or dark purple base on each petal. This contrasting color combination creates a dramatic and eye-catching appearance. They typically bloom in mid to late spring, making them a beautiful addition to gardens during this time. They work well when planted in mixed borders, flower beds, containers, or used for mass plantings. These tulips are also excellent for cut flower arrangements.

2L (2 Litres) refers to the volume of the pot, the roots are almost 4 times the size of a 9cm pot. The size of the plant can vary greatly, most will be between 30-60cm tall unless they are naturally low growing plants or if you are buying herbaceous plants in winter.

Bulbs are a form of dormant plant which when planted in the correct conditions produce a full plant over time. Plants which naturally survive as bulbs will usually die down into the ground when their season is finished in order to store their energy to return the following year.
