Tulip 'Flaming Spring Green'

Tulipa ‘Flaming Spring Green’ is a cultivar that flowers late in the season, producing flowers that are fairly long-lived. The multi-coloured petals provide subtle streaks of green and red on a cream background. It is a Lily family tulip that grows up to 50cm tall and spreads up to 20cm. It is well-suited for growing among light-colored tulips in the border or container and makes a striking cut flower. Remove fading flowers to prevent the plant from producing seeds, costing it energy at the expense of next year’s flowers.

2L (2 Litres) refers to the volume of the pot, the roots are almost 4 times the size of a 9cm pot. The size of the plant can vary greatly, most will be between 30-60cm tall unless they are naturally low growing plants or if you are buying herbaceous plants in winter.

Bulbs are a form of dormant plant which when planted in the correct conditions produce a full plant over time. Plants that naturally survive as bulbs will usually die down into the ground when their season is finished in order to store their energy to return the following year.
