Raspberry 'Summer Lovers Patio Red'

Rubus Idaeus

5cm Plants x 3 (More info)

Raspberry ‘Summer Lovers Patio Red’

Jumbo Plug Plant x 3

'Summer Lovers Patio Red' is a compact growing variety that bears aromatic, dark red fruits on this year's canes from mid-July. The soft young thorns don't harden into sharp spikes, making it ideal to grow in pots for a delicious and healthy snack!

Please note that deciduous plants naturally lose their leaves during the colder months. If you wish to check the health of your plant, you can scrape a small piece of bark off from the lower part of the main stem. Under the brown layers there should be healthy green growth.

What am I Buying?

Plug plants are small, young plants grown in cell trays. Even the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are still small plants from cell trays and not established plants. Plug plants can be great value compared to buying more established plants however they may need some extra care to get them started.

Caring for Plug Plants

We recommend starting plug plants in a small pot and not planting directly into open ground or large pots/planters. You will want a plant pot roughly the size of a tea mug, commonly referred to as 7cm or 9cm pots. Ensure the pot has plenty of holes underneath and preferably over two tiers for even better drainage.

Reduced Plastics

Please note: In order to lessen our environmental impact, all of our plants will be removed from their plastic cell trays or pots before sending. Ensure you are ready to pot your plants when they arrive.
