Please note that deciduous plants can naturally lose their leaves during the colder months. If the plants arrive without leaf or with brown leaves, you can check for living growth by carefully scraping a small part of the outer woody stem. This should then reveal a green layer just underneath the woody outer layer. These plants are waiting for the warmer conditions of spring when they will produce new buds of growth throughout the plant.
