Physocarpus 'Little Angel'

Physocarpus Opulifolius

2L Plant (More info)

Physocarpus ‘Little Angel’'

2L Plant

‘Little Angel’ is an award-winning ninebark that has a well-branching structure with lots of lush foliage, which is bright orange-red when it first appears, but will mature to a darker shade of burgundy-red. This colouring is very useful for adding depth of colour and contrast to the mixed or shrub border, this compact variety is also ideal for planting in garden pots on a patio. Clusters of white flowers appear in summer to give a contrast to the dark leaves and later fruit will develop too. Physocarpus opulifolius 'Little Angel' is an excellent choice as it is easy to keep, giving you a great deal of reward for very little effort.

Please note that deciduous plants naturally lose their leaves during the colder months. If you wish to check the health of your plant, you can scrape a small piece of bark off from the lower part of the main stem. Under the brown layers there should be healthy green growth.

What am I Buying?

2L (2 Litres) refers to the volume of the pot, the roots are almost 4 times the size of a 9cm pot. The size of the plant can vary greatly, most will be between 30-60cm tall unless they are naturally low growing plants or if you are buying herbaceous plants in winter.

Please note: In order to lessen our environmental impact, all of our plants will be removed from their plastic cell trays or pots before sending. Ensure you are ready to pot your plants when they arrive.
