Water Spinach 'Yangtze' is a long, leafy green vegetable with hollow stems that grows in water or damp soil. Water spinach is a semi-aquatic and tropical plant so it grows well in the heat and in wet conditions, thriving in full sun and in greenhouses. Water spinach can be harvested using a cut-and-come-again method. You simply cut the main stems and after a few weeks, it will sprout new leaves and stems.
What am I Buying?
Plug plants are small, young plants grown in cell trays. Even the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are still small plants from cell trays and not established plants. Plug plants can be great value compared to buying more established plants however they may need some extra care to get them started.
