Details

Hibiscus ‘Nippon Blush’ is a very exotic looking perennial that will create a magnificent tower of large single, trumpet-shaped flowers with a striking darker eye at the centre of each flower. The large, tropical flowers have a compact, upright habit making them perfect for containers and borders where they will bloom from July to October.

Plant Care

What are you buying?

4L, 2L & 1L refer to pot volume in litres. 9cm, 7cm & 5cm refer to pot diameter. These are common terms used in plant retail to indicate the size of a plant root system. Leaf & stem growth on plants varies widely by variety and time of year. Usually, 1L/2L/4L plants can be anywhere between 20-60cm tall & 5/7/9cm plants will be around 10-30cm tall. However, this may be less if the plant is naturally low growing or if it is a herbaceous plant in winter.

Plug plants are small plants grown from seeds or cuttings in cell trays. Their root systems start from about 1cm and the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are usually around 4cm. Plug plants can be great value to buy but they will need some extra care to get them started. We recommend planting each plug plant into its own 7 or 9cm pot (about the size of a standard mug), NOT directly into open ground or large pots. Ensure the pot has plenty of holes underneath and preferably over two tiers for even better drainage.
