Weigela ‘Towers of Flowers Apple Blossom' is a striking shrub with a unique columnar growth habit. The pale pink blooms are borne along the entire length of each stem, creating a stunning pillar of blooms in early summer, and often a few more in late summer! The oval shaped foliage is bronzed as it emerges but later matures to dark green. This quick growing shrub is hardy and resilient, making an excellent low maintenance shrub for sunny borders. With such a neat habit, it works beautifully in containers to create a living screen on a balcony or patio.
Please note that deciduous plants naturally lose their leaves during the colder months. If you wish to check the health of your plant, you can scrape a small piece of bark off from the lower part of the main stem. Under the brown layers there should be healthy green growth.

What are you buying?
4L, 2L & 1L refer to pot volume in litres. 9cm, 7cm & 5cm refer to pot diameter. These are common terms used in plant retail to indicate the size of a plant root system. Leaf & stem growth on plants varies widely by variety and time of year. Usually, 1L/2L/4L plants can be anywhere between 20-60cm tall & 5/7/9cm plants will be around 10-30cm tall. However, this may be less if the plant is naturally low growing or if it is a herbaceous plant in winter.
Plug plants are small plants grown from seeds or cuttings in cell trays. Their root systems start from about 1cm and the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are usually around 4cm. Plug plants can be great value to buy but they will need some extra care to get them started. We recommend planting each plug plant into its own 7 or 9cm pot (about the size of a standard mug), NOT directly into open ground or large pots. Ensure the pot has plenty of holes underneath and preferably over two tiers for even better drainage.
