Berberis 'Diabolicum' is a good shrub for year-round interest, has delightful primrose yellow young foliage gradually turning pale yellow through the summer with red autumn tints. One of the least demanding and easy to grow of the deciduous barberries and excellent in contrast with deep purple foliage shrubs. Pale straw yellow flowers are produced in April. Needs a sheltered spot in dappled shade with a moist but well drained soil.
Please note that deciduous plants naturally lose their leaves during the colder months. If you wish to check the health of your plant, you can scrape a small piece of bark off from the lower part of the main stem. Under the brown layers there should be healthy green growth.

Plant Care
Please remember that you're not buying 9cm tall plants. 9cm refers to the diameter of the pot commonly used in plant retail.
The size of the plant can vary greatly.
Most will be between 10-30cm tall unless they are naturally low growing plants or if you are buying herbaceous plants in winter.
In order to lessen our environmental impact, all of our plants will be removed from their plastic cell trays or pots before sending. Ensure you are ready to pot your plants when they arrive.
