Sweet Pepper 'California Wonder'
Medium Plug Plant x 3
3 x Large Plug Plants
California Wonder Bell Pepper is one of the most popular bell peppers around. Just like the peppers you’ll find in the supermarket, the California Wonder produces thick-walled, blocky green peppers, which turn to red if left on the plant. The fruit is delicious for snacking, salads, sautéing or stuffing. They grow well either in large pots or planted directly in the ground, and when planted in greenhouses, need little to no maintenance.
WHAT AM I BUYING?
Plug plants are small plants or seedlings grown in cell trays. The trays we use can vary from plant to plant therefore we don’t make any guarantee on size. Please note plug plants can struggle to form roots in larger pots without the correct treatment, please follow the instructions below:
PLUG CARE:
Buying plugs can save money but they will need some extra care. Most small plants or plugs should not be planted directly into large pots or open ground. We recommend first potting into a small pot, a pot roughly the size of a tea mug is ideal (9cm pots are commonly used). Make sure you use a growing media that drains well. Water fully straight after potting but after this it is VITAL that you refrain from watering too often, a daily watering regime can stunt or kill a small plant just as easily as not watering at all. Allow the plant roots to fill the pot before potting on to larger pots or open ground.
