Plant gladioli corms 10 to 15cm deep and 15 to 20cm apart in well-drained, moisture-retentive soil. Best grown in full sun and protected from strong winds. Deadhead spent flowers, ensuring to leave the foliage. The corms may be lifted after the foliage has naturally died back, dried and stored for the next year. In mild areas, a protective mulch may suffice.
