IMPORTANT! These are PLUG PLANTS, NOT potted plants. Please check plug guide image for approx. size of plugs.
Click 'Plant Care' tab for additional plug plant information.

Phlox ‘Blue Boy’ is an upright-growing, clump-forming perennial with large heads of sweetly scented, lavender-blue flowers with a small white centre, carried on stiff stems with mid-green leaves. ‘Blue Boy’ has a lovely sweet fragrance that will fill the evening air. These lovely hardy perennial plants are perfect for attracting pollinators to the garden, ideal for the middle to back of the border.

Please note herbaceous plants naturally die-back during the colder months. We always ensure plants have at least some growth during this time, however when buying during October through to March, the growth may be minimal and there may be blemishes from winter cold.

Click on the 'Growing Information' tab for more details about this plant.

Plant Care
What are you buying?

Plug plants are small, young plants grown in cell trays. Even the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are still small plants from cell trays and not established plants. Plug plants can be great value compared to buying more established plants however they may need some extra care to get them started.
Caring for Plug Plants

We recommend starting plug plants in a small pot and not planting directly into open ground or large pots/planters. You will want a plant pot roughly the size of a tea mug, commonly referred to as 7cm or 9cm pots. Ensure the pot has plenty of holes underneath and preferably over two tiers for even better drainage.

Reduced Plastics

In order to lessen our environmental impact, all of our plants will be removed from their plastic cell trays or pots before sending. Ensure you are ready to pot your plants when they arrive.
