Ficus ‘Brown Turkey’ is a large deciduous shrub which is remarkable for it’s large jungly leaves and exotic appearance, followed by edible fig fruit to 10cm in length, at first green, but purplish when ripe. Usually one crop of fruit per year, but sometimes two in a hot summer or under protection. It whats more it is able to withstand drought, hot windy conditions including coastal spots despite the relatively fragile looking leaves.

4L (4 Litres) refers to the volume of the pot. The size of the plant growth can vary greatly. Most will be between 40-90cm tall unless they are naturally low growing plants or if you are buying herbaceous plants in winter.

It whats more it is able to withstand drought, hot windy conditions including coastal spots despite the relatively fragile looking leaves.

Please note that deciduous plants naturally lose their leaves during the colder months. If you wish to check the health of your plant, you can scrape a small piece of bark off from the lower part of the main stem. Under the brown layers there should be healthy green growth.

Grow in a sheltered, sunny position ideally against a warm, south facing wall. Prefers a moisture retentive, slightly alkaline, fertile, well drained soil
