‘Smokey’ is a bronze fennel with a traditional aniseed flavour, perfect for using in fish and chicken dishes. It also has a beautiful presence in a container or border with its attractive orange-tinted, feathery foliage and yellow summer flowers!
Please note herbaceous plants naturally die-back during the colder months. We always ensure plants have at least some growth during this time, however when buying during October through to March, the growth may be minimal and there may be blemishes from winter cold.
What am I Buying?
Plug plants are small, young plants grown in cell trays. Even the largest plug plants, described as extra-large or jumbo, are still small plants from cell trays and not established plants. Plug plants can be great value compared to buying more established plants however they may need some extra care to get them started.
We also offer our range of plants in larger sizes which gives the option to choose premium plants at a more advanced stage over the cost saving of buying plug plants. Please visit our shop for our full list of plants currently in stock.
