'Purpurmantel' is an aromatic, semi-evergreen dwarf shrub with purple young foliage and stems, becoming grey-green; leaves oblong, 3-6cm in length. Purple-blue flowers 2cm in length in terminal racemes

WHAT AM I BUYING?

Plug plants are small plants or seedlings grown in cell trays. Our EXTRA LARGE plugs are some of the largest on the market with a flat cell shape that allows us to pack them in large letter boxes. The larger root system of the XL plugs makes them much easier to establish than smaller plug plants giving you the benefit of cost efficiency without the additional care required for small plugs. PLUG CARE:

While these garden ready XL plugs are capable of being planted directly into prepared ground or a larger pot it is still VITAL that you refrain from watering too often; a daily watering regime can stunt or kill a small plant just as easily as not watering at all. For slow growing plants or if you are not confident with caring for small plants we recommend first potting into a small pot roughly the size of a tea mug (9cm pots are commonly used). Make sure you use a growing media that drains well. Allow the plant roots to fill the pot before potting on to larger pots or open ground.
